About this course
Attention! in order to take full advantage of this course, it is recommended to have completed the first phase: "Introduction to the Circular Economy" or to have a clear understanding of what the circular economy refers to. After having completed the above mentioned course, we will be able to go deeper into other concepts closely related to its application, such as plastic credits. During this course you will be introduced to plastic credits, an emerging concept in waste management and the circular economy. Students will learn the key concepts and the basis for understanding plastic credits, including their definition, their environmental impact and the life cycle of plastic.Eligibility criteria for plastic credits will be discussed, and how to identify and evaluate eligible projects for generating these credits. In addition, the fundamentals for creating and developing a plastic project will be explored and an analysis of current markets will be conducted.Finally, the challenges and opportunities in implementing these projects will be addressed, including social, environmental and technological challenges, as well as opportunities for innovation in conjunction with the circular economy. This course will provide students with a solid understanding of how plastic credits can play a crucial role in the transition to a more sustainable economy.
