Single Light Photography with the Westcott Apollo 28" is a course aimed at amateur and intermediate level photographers who wish to learn how to use a single, inexpensive light source and an incredibly versatile medium sized softbox modifier to take their photography up a few notches, and apply simple yet effective post-processing techniques to enhance the resulting images. This course is organized in a simple to follow layout: In Section 1, we provide an introduction to the course, detailing the goals and requirements;In Section 2, we explain in detail all the equipment we will be using along this course;In Section 3, we teach the "tech stuff": all the basic knowledge behind speedlight exposure that will assist you in determining the best course of action for each scenario you'll find as a photographer;In Section 4, we start shooting - a simple studio headshots with a single light source and a variety of looks;In Section 5, we go outside and shoot an outdoors portrait, applying more of the knowledge gained in section 3;In Section 6, we go back to the studio to shoot food, using our single light to create dramatic, storytelling light;In Section 7, we go back outside and shoot a picnic, again applying all the principles from section 4;In Section 8, we take a model to a location and shoot for the whole day - and demonstrate how this simple light can assist you in achieving different looks and feelings in your images.
