About this course

This course is both an introductory and refresher course to basics of radiopharmaceutical whereby students will be taught the basic principles of radiopharmaceuticals, the various categories of radiopharmaceutical kits and learn to differentiate between SPECT and PET scan and radiopharmaceuticals. In general, this course focuses on simple and practical steps to improve performance, core competencies and essential training for undergraduate or postgraduate students and continuous professional development for personnel working or planning to work in the nuclear medicine department or similar establishment. To ensure greater learning experience, students are encouraged to take the Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry course (Module 1) first before embarking on this course (Module 2).
