They guide clients on how to modernize existing applications or build new ones using microservices architectures, containers, and orchestration. This involves deep familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, the premier platform for running containerized workloads. The architect designs the OpenShift cluster topology, configures networking and storage, and defines CI/CD pipelines using IBM Cloud Continuous Delivery or Tekton to enable rapid, reliable application updates. They champion best practices for 12-factor app development, ensuring applications are portable, scalable, and resilient in the cloud environment.Data and AI architecture are another major focus. The architect helps clients design modern data platforms, choosing the right combination of IBM Cloud databases (PostgreSQL, Db2, etcd), data lakes (Cloud Object Storage), and analytics services (Watson Studio, Analytics Engine) to meet their needs.
