HVAC Lab work
About this course
HVAC ,Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning Principles are best learned in laboratory by doing experiments on test rigs .This course helps students to practically see the equipments ,understand by seeing how the experiments are performed, what observations are recorded and ultimately to calculate the performance of the refrigeration system. This course is designed by Dr Prof Mahesh who has a 22 years experience in teaching this course to his students in classroom and laboratory sessions. The course starts with an interesting explanation on the vapour compression test rig and ice plant test rig .Professor physically shows all the components of refrigeration system and shows the measuring instruments and explains how and why observations are taken. After watching video lectures on how experiments are conducted students gain confidence in performing those experiments ans start to appreciate the concepts of HVAC. Detailed explanation of the calculations in the subsequent lectures help the students to understand the ways the peformance of HVAC Systems is estimated .Practical understanding of vapour compression test rig and ice plant test rig helps students to gain confidence in estimation of similar performance of actual systems found in homes, hospitals, hotels and industry. Key take aways from this course Practical understanding of vapour compression refrigeration technology used in HVAC systemPractical understanding of ice plant factory technology Performance calculations of refrigeration technologyCoolng load calculation and psychometric process understanding in HVAC systems
