How to Build Virtual Accountability

About this course

When your team works across screens instead of a shared office, the only real evidence anyone has of your reliability is whether you actually do what you say you will do. Missed promises are harder to catch early and easier to let slide, which makes accountability the single skill that determines whether a remote team performs like a high-trust unit or a loose collection of individuals hoping things get done. You will build promises specific enough for your team to act on, negotiate any request into a clear, deliverable commitment, and coordinate the work required to follow through. You will also practice diagnosing exactly what breaks down when a promise fails, repairing broken trust with care and sincerity, and taking on responsibility for your team's success beyond the promises you have personally made. By the end of this course, you will lead yourself and your team with the kind of reliability that turns a distributed group of individuals into a team that trusts each other completely.
