About this course
This specialization introduces you to Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI)—the principles, methods, and practices for understanding how machine learning models make decisions. You will learn foundational concepts including interpretability, transparency, and model-agnostic explanation techniques. The specialization progresses from inherently interpretable models like linear regression and decision trees to advanced post-hoc methods such as SHAP (Shapley Additive exPlanations) and LIME (Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations). You will explore how to evaluate explanation quality through fidelity, faithfulness, stability, and robustness metrics.
