About this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.CompTIA SecAI+ (CY0-001), launched in February 2026, is the industry's first certification dedicated to AI security - and this course gives you thorough, exam-focused preparation for it. Every chapter maps directly to the official exam domains and their exact weightings: AI Concepts for Cybersecurity (17%), Securing AI Systems (40%), AI-Assisted Security Operations (24%), and AI Governance, Risk & Compliance (19%). The heaviest domain gets four full chapters covering prompt injection and jailbreaking, data poisoning and supply chain attacks, adversarial examples and model theft, and guardrails with red teaming.You will work with the frameworks the exam emphasizes heavily: the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS technique mapping, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act risk tiers, and ISO/IEC 42001. Hands-on labs use free open-source tools you can run locally - including garak, promptfoo, and llm-guard - so you build real skills defending and red-teaming AI systems, not just exam recall. On the operations side, you'll learn how SOC teams actually use AI: alert triage, threat intelligence enrichment, detection engineering with LLMs, and SOAR automation, including where hallucination risk makes AI unsuitable.The final chapter is a complete exam simulation with performance-based question (PBQ) strategy and time management. You also get two full-length practice tests with detailed explanations for every option, per-domain score breakdowns, downloadable cheat sheets, and flashcards. Recommended background: Security+ level knowledge and about two years of hands-on security experience. No AI or machine learning background is required - Domain 1 builds it from the ground up.
