Bitcoin Scaling & Security
About this course
Develop and manage scalable Bitcoin infrastructure using Lightning, sidechains, and proven operational safeguards. This course covers real engineering workflows for building high-performance Bitcoin payment systems. You will learn Lightning node setup, routing, channel management, liquidity planning, HTLCs, onion routing, watchtowers, backup and restore processes, and fee strategies. You will also explore sidechains and Layer-2 solutions such as Liquid and RSK, including federated models, peg mechanisms, payment reliability, and operational monitoring at scale. Each module pairs technical deep dives with hands-on labs. You will deploy Lightning nodes, configure LND and Core Lightning, open and rebalance channels, simulate traffic, set up watchtowers, tune performance, and integrate nodes with wallets, applications, and services. By the end, you’ll be able to design scalable Bitcoin systems, protect payment flows, improve node reliability, and select the right infrastructure model for different business needs. Develop practical capabilities for operating resilient, high-performance Bitcoin infrastructure.
