How do cells, organs and systems function in the human body to help inform the identification, research, monitoring and treatment of diseases? As one of the broadest areas of modern science, biomedical science draws upon several disciplines, including anatomy, biochemistry, cell biology, pathology and physiology to explore this question. On this programme theory and practice complement each other as you gain a solid grounding in each of these subjects, as well as a range of professional skills underpinned by comprehensive laboratory experience.
