Civil engineers or construction engineers have great creative and technical leverage and get an opportunity to admire their great work from window or rooftop. The field of civil engineering and construction deals with creating and supervising construction project such as building, roads, bridges and railway etc. It is one of the oldest engineering disciplines and civil engineer plays an important role to fulfill basic needs of human being. Civil engineers provide basic foundation for launching any new project.
The BS Civil Engineering degree at UMT helps participant learn how to follow construction safety standards as well as building regulations. The aim of the program is to create future generation of highly competent engineers and researchers who have the vision to analyze, evaluate and design engineering structure and have the ability to respond effectively with the clients, consultants and contractors.
The BS program has been designed to help students become engineering role models in industry, government and academia. Special focus is given to our graduates of our program who have strong background in scientific, mathematical, technical and professional skills. Under the expert guidance of highly qualified professionals, students are taught curriculum consisting of mathematics, physics and material sciences, however the focus remains on core civil engineering courses.
A level or FSc (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent with minimum 60 % marks and no 3rd division in matriculation.
50% marks in NTS\UMT entry test

The aim of Civil Engineering Program at UMT is to equip students with professional and scientific knowledge, so that they can become competent performers in any industry, apply civil engineering knowledge, problem solving skills and communication techniques. They can work in teams or in leadership role and apply ethical standards and ASCE procedures code of ethics within and beyond
tradition learning of disciplines. As a civil engineer you can work in National Highway Authority (NHA), Communication and Works Department (C&W), Water and Power Development Authority and other institutions as civil engineers and achieve great financial rewards.
