Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology)

Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology) is a Masters program taught at Universiti Malaya, . The program is offered in campus-based modes with full Time options. To successfully obtain Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology) from Universiti Malaya you are required to complete 44 credit hours. After completion of Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology) you will be able to further continue for advance studies or start career as Software Developer, Software engineer, System Analyst, Software Architect, Software Configuration Manager.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology) at Universiti Malaya for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Malaya.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Malaya as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology).

For admission into the Master of Software Engineering (Software Technology) programme, applicants must acquire at least:

• A bachelor’s degree with Honours or a equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology/related field from a recognized university with a CGPA of 3.0 and above/equivalent, OR
• A bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/related field from a recognized university with a CGPA in the range of 2.50 – 2.99/equivalent can be considered provided the fulfilment of the University requirements.

International applicants are required to have:

• At least IELTS Band 6.0 (Academic) or TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) / 213 (computer based) / 80 (internet based) if their first degree from a university whose English language is not the medium of instruction, OR
• Pass an English Proficiency test approved by the university
