Master of Commercial Law (Coursework)

Master of Commercial Law (Coursework) is a Masters program taught at Universiti Malaya, . The program is offered in campus-based modes with full Time options. To successfully obtain Master of Commercial Law (Coursework) from Universiti Malaya you are required to complete 44 credit hours. After completion of Master of Commercial Law (Coursework) you will be able to further continue for advance studies or start career as Lawyer, Consultant, Police Consultant, Legal Advisor.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Commercial Law (Coursework) at Universiti Malaya for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Malaya.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Malaya as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Commercial Law (Coursework).

Applicants for the LLM programmes at the University of Malaya must satisfy the following requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA of 3.0 and above or its equivalent; or


2. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA from 2.70 to 2.99 or its equivalent and one (1) of the criteria below, or:
   1. relevant work experience;
   2. publication in the relevant field;
   3. applicant is a scholarship holder;
   4. applicant is a University of Malaya graduate.


3. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA from 2.50 to 2.69 and two (2) of the criteria below:
   1. relevant work experience;
   2. publication in a relevant field;
   3. applicant is a scholarship holder;
   4. applicant is a University of Malaya graduate.

This program consists of coursework only.
A candidate for the Master of Commercial Law is required to demonstrate ability to carry out under guidance, research of high quality and to relate the research to the broader legal framework. At the end of the course, the candidate should demonstrate ability to present well written work and demonstrate competence in the chosen field of law.
