Bachelors of Business Administration

Students interested in a career in business administration study a systematic curriculum that balances the 3 fields of administration, marketing, and accounting. In order to train students to independently identify and solve problems, many classes in the Department emphasize building bridges between academic theory and corporate practice and engaging in small-group discussions. We encourage our students to aim high and strive to become business people of sound judgement who contribute to society through business.

1. Type of Personnel Sought
   1. Is equipped with the fundamental knowledge and skills, reasoning, judgment and expression abilities that are expected outcomes at the senior high school level and necessary for study at the Department of Business Administration.
   2. Possesses the interest and ambition to independently pursue study of various past and present issues in economics and other disciplines.
   3. Has the desire to value communication with people and to practice the university's educational philosophy, "Do for Others", using knowledge, skills, reasoning, judgment and expression acquired through subjective studies in the business field.
2. Basic Policy for Selection of Students
Assess whether an applicant possesses the fundamental abilities and ambition outlined in “Applicant Criteria” above.
3. Types of Student Selection and Evaluation Methods
Student selection is based on general or special entrance examinations, evaluated according to the “Basic Policy for Selection of Students” above. Prospective students may take the All-Faculty Schedule or A Schedule general entrance examinations, or the Meiji Gakuin Admissions Center Entrance Examination. Special entrance examinations include the “Entrance Examination by Recommendation (Designated School)”, “Entrance Examination by Special Recommendation (Affiliated School)” and “Privately Funded International Student Entrance Examination”. Evaluation methods vary by type of examination, including general written examinations and interviews assessing communication ability, qualities and ambitions. These examinations are used to select individuals who will study in the department and be active in society.

The Department’s practice-oriented classes are taught by lecturers who gained their doctoral degrees after careers as certified public accountants or in manufacturing, among other industries. To ensure an integrated understanding of theory and practice, students learn from professionals and experts currently active in various fields.
