Bachelor of Science (Hons) Computer Science

This is a 3-year Honours degree for students who have completed the Leaving Certificate Computer Science subject, a GCE in Computing and certain other equivalent qualifications such as a QQI FET Level 5 award in Computing. Minimum grades apply.

The ability to deliver the course in 3 years is based on the ability of students who already have a background in computing to “get up to speed” quickly on the core curriculum and will rapidly progress to more advanced topics.

This is a broad-based computing course which covering a full range of core topics including programming, databases, networking, machine learning and AI and data science.apps, your opportunities are superb.

Minimum Entry Requirements :

Leaving Certificate
- Six Subjects at grade O6/H7 to include;
- Min. Two subjects at H5 and
- English or Irish at O6/H7
- Maths at O4/H7
-Computer Science at O4/H6
OR
QQI Cohort
Have obtained a full QQI Level 5 award including distinctions in at least 3 modules. The QQI award
Award titles are: Computer System & Networks, Computing, Software Development
