Introduction
The BSc (Hons) in Computing (Software Development) will provide you with the technical skills and techniques in software development and design to produce high quality visual interfaces to ensure an effective user experience. As a professional UX/GUI designer you will work on creating beautiful, high quality interfaces.
You will develop strong knowledge of the latest UI frameworks. Graduates will further develop and deepen their programming/software knowledge in current computer languages.
The BSc (Hons) in Computing (Software Development) will prepare you for a career in a wide variety of sectors. You will build skills, competence and knowledge in current technologies, gain practical work experience and specialise in Software Development - a fast-growing area in the Computing sector.
Admission Requirements
Under the new Common Points Scale for Leaving Certificate 2019, applicants must obtain a minimum of 2H5’s and 4 O6/H7, including a language. Some degree programmes will also require a minimum of O6/H7 in Maths. Please see individual course entry requirements for further details.
Applicants must obtain a minimum of four GCSE passes at grade C to include Maths and English plus two A-level passes at grade C or higher.
