The master's degree in Water Science and Engineering offers interdisciplinary, research-oriented training at the interface between water-related engineering and natural sciences. Graduates are able to independently develop strategies and technical solutions for the sustainable management of water as a resource. They work in the complex field of tension between the efficient use of limited water resources, the increasing demands on their protection, dealing with extreme hydrometeorological events, and the effects of global change on the water cycle and water-related material cycles.
In the Advanced Fundamentals subject, advanced basics of water-related engineering and natural sciences are taught. All students hear, among other things, a lecture series on environmental system modeling. The specialist training is flanked by in-depth knowledge of cross-sectional methods and cross-sectional competencies.
