International Media Studies is a master’s degree that is being carried out under the auspices of Deutsche Welle (DW Akademie) and in cooperation with the University of Bonn. The course is aimed at young journalists from all over the world and combines the topics of media and development cooperation with media economics and communication studies. But media practice and journalism are also part of the training.
Interested parties must have a first academic degree (Bachelor or equivalent) and at least one year of professional experience after completing their first university degree in a media-related environment. For the next year, the course will no longer be offered bilingually. English becomes the only language of instruction.
