Master Of Education

The minimum requirements for admission in Master Of Education at The University of Newcastle for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by The University of Newcastle.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by The University of Newcastle as pre-requiste for admission in Master Of Education.

The Master of Education is an 80-unit postgraduate qualification for:

• qualified teachers who wish to gain an additional teaching area in Mathematics or TESOL; or
• qualified teachers who wish to undertake professional development.

Admission is available for applicants who have one of the following qualifications or equivalent:

Teacher Retraining

• Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Education/Teaching; or
• Bachelor Honours Degree in Education/Teaching; or
• Bachelor Degree in Education/Teaching.

Professional Development

• Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Education/Teaching; or
• Bachelor Honours Degree in Education/Teaching; or
• Bachelor Degree in Education/Teaching.

Relevant fields include education, teaching, training, tutoring, or equivalent.
